StreetFest Shirt 
Fall 2024

A shirt designed for the Calvin orientation program. This shirt was used in Streetfest: an organized event where incoming students, faculty, and staff venture off of Calvin's campus into the surrounding community to both serve and learn with over 40 community organizations and churches in Grand Rapids.​​​​​​​
 For the StreetFest 2024 design, I found inspiration from the theme of “Weaving Hope. Reclaiming Presence." This design reflects how God is making all things new in our city of Grand Rapids as hope and restoration are being woven through acts of service and learning. The four hands represent the diverse individuals and organizations involved in this work. The hands are working together to show how we each contribute our unique gifts to the common good as emphasized in 1 Corinthians 12:4-7. The string woven between the hands symbolizes our unified work as we form a picture of hope that uplifts the community. Within the strings, I included the city skyline to show this work in the context of Grand Rapids and remind us that our acts of service are rooted in our local community. The design aims to capture the essence of StreetFest—where students are invited to engage with the city, encounter God, and participate in the act of weaving hope and reclaiming presence.

MuKappa is a club founded in 1986, made to serve missionary kids, third culture, kids and other global citizens. They commissioned this design for a hoodie specifically for club members.
